This four hour session is perfect for the individual who would like to find out more about Professional Organizing but isn’t quite ready to commit to it as a profession. The class will give you an introduction to Professional Organizing, the National Association of Professional Organizers and the National Study Group for Chronic Disorganization. We will also look at ways to make what may be a hobby or a special passion for you into a part-time or full-time income-generating business.

• A Complete Industry Overview - We will look at the beginnings of the Professional Organizer’s Industry, the start of the National Association of Professional Organizers, the National Study Group for Chronic Disorganization and a close look at the industry specializations as defined by NAPO. We will also look at NAPO’s Code of Ethics as well as the overview of Core Competencies established by NAPO.
• Case Studies - A portfolio of case studies from the files of the National Study Group for Chronic Disorganization as well as cases from the files of Professional Organizers give you an inside look at some of the challenges you might expect to encounter as a Professional Organizer.
• Ask the Organizer Session - Melissa has been earning a considerable income for over 10 years as a Professional Organizer and as a trainer and mentor for the last two years and she has a wealth of information to offer from how to get your business started to what it takes to make this a full time career.
